Important Notice for all Patients                                                                                      

Beginning February 1, 2012, we will no longer be performing our billing in-house. Instead, we are contracting with an out-of-state billing company, Ameriderm/Leavitt Management, who will be submitting claims to your insurance on your behalf for all office visits dated February 1, 2012 and on. Billing for any services performed before February 1, 2012 will still be taken care of by Oakview Dermatology.

What does this mean for you?

  • You may receive multiple invoices for old and/or current balances.
    (Ex: You have a balance from your visit in December 2011 and now you have a balance for your visit in February 2012. You will receive an invoice from Oakview Dermatology showing only your December balance and you will also receive an invoice from Ameriderm showing only your February balance.)
  • It is important that you keep us up-to-date on any changes with your current insurance. Always present your insurance card(s) at check-in so that we may verify accurateness.
  • Ameriderm will be performing predetermination of benefits ahead of time, which means that we will know prior to your scheduled appointment your annual deductible amount, how much of that deductible is unmet, your copay and/or co-insurance amount, and what your insurance will pay on specific charges. At the time of check-out, we will know how much, if any, you will owe for that particular visit before even billing your insurance. We will gladly collect that amount that day.

Please remember that your insurance determines your medical benefits so it is your responsibility to know your coverage. We want to thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition.
