Our Providers
Dawn Sammons, D.O.
Board Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Dawn Sammons is a 2003 graduate of Ohio University's College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her dermatology residency in June of 2008. She is an associate clinical professor at both Ohio University's College of Osteopathic Medicine and West Virginia's School of Osteopathic Medicine. She has lived in Southeast Ohio for over 20 years and is pleased to be able to serve the communities in this area.
Dr. Sammons is devoted to the study and treatment of all dermatologic diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. She has a particular interest in skin cancer and dermatologic surgery. Our state of the art office equipment allows for us to do all but the most complicated dermatologic surgeries in-house, under local anesthesia. In addition, we are also pleased to offer photo-dynamic therapy for the treatment of actinic keratoses and laser therapy for hair removal and vein therapy.
Nathan Misel, PA-C
Dermatology Physician Assistant
Dr. Sammons brought on Dermatology Physician Assistant, Nathan Misel, in an effort to extend our ability to provide dermatologic care for the patients here in Southeast Ohio. Nathan joined our team in October of 2008 and has become a valuable asset to our organization. He graduated from Marietta College with a master's degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2007. He did clinical training in multiple areas of specialty medicine, including Dermatology. Prior to joining our team, Nathan spent time working in a private dermatology office and a local ER. He is certified to treat patients under the supervision of Dr. Sammons.

Amanda Nolan, Office Manager
School/Work Experience: Graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Service Administration. She has been with Oakview Dermatology since it opened.
Favorite Part of her Job: Problem solving and leaving patients satisfied with our services.
Hobbies: Spending time with her family and friends, shopping, traveling to new places, and staying active.
Personal Goal: To make young adults more aware of the damaging effects UVA and UVB rays can have on their skin.

Lori Beardsley, Medical Billing and Coding Specialist
School/Work Experience: Worked within the medical field as a billing and coding specialist for the past 13 years of her life.
Favorite Part of her Job:Developing relationships with coworkers as well as interacting with different people on a daily basis.
Hobbies: Spending time with her kids and reading.
Personal Goal: To find a solution for almost every billing concern that our patients or practice may face.

School/Work Experience: Graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Reading Education. Before joining our staff, she worked as a receptionist for Ohio University.

Hobbies: Spending time with her family and friends, shopping, reading, and spending time outside when it's warm.
Personal Goal: To learn more about skin care and the medical field, and do her best each day.

School/Work Experience: Attended Glenville State College for general studies and went on to become a receptionist for a law firm. Before joining our staff, she worked as a transcriptionist for an insurance agency.

Hobbies: Spending time with her family and friends, hiking, boating, reading, baking, facebooking, and staying active.
