Dr. Dawn Merritt
Dr. Dawn Merritt, the CEO and founder of Oakview Dermatology, is a Board Certified Dermatologist specializing in complex medical dermatology and skin cancer. She is the Residency Program Director for the OhioHealth Dermatology Residency Program, a role she has held for over 10 years. Dr. Merritt speaks nationally several times a year on a variety of topics, she is the Medical Director for Merritt Bioscience's clinical trial program and she has numerous dermatologic publications. She was awarded one of the Top Doctors by OH Top Docs in 2023 and this past year she was named the Clinical Educator of the Year by the Fall Clinical Conference. Dr. Merritt loves spending time with her family, traveling and mentoring young physicians.

Dr. Sarah Croft
Dr. Sarah Croft is enthusiastically joining Oakview Dermatology as a board-certified dermatologist. As an Ohioan native, she graduated cum laude from Miami University of Ohio and later obtained a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She attended Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her internship and residency training in Largo, Florida where she served as Chief resident. Along with her extensive training, she authored several publications, presented at national conferences and is the recipient of multiple residency awards. Dr. Croft is excited about the opportunity to return to the Buckeye state after practicing in North Carolina and Florida.

Dr. Jennifer Gwilym
Dr. Jennifer Gwilym is not only one of the most highly trained physicians in the area but is also a Professor of Medicine at Ohio University’s Medical school. As a faculty member at OU, she serves as an assistant dean. Dr. Gwilym approaches skin problems and treatment with expertise that utilizes her experience in both dermatology and internal medicine, enabling her to achieve the best outcomes for her patients. Dr. Gwilym’s approach to her patient’s total health and well-being, along with her warmth and passion for medicine makes her standout.

Dr. Kathleen Nemer
Dr. Kathleen Nemer is a board-certified dermatologist and board-certified Mohs micrographic surgeon who specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, skin cancer removal, and post-skin cancer reconstruction. She completed her medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, followed by her dermatology residency and Mohs micrographic surgery fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Nemer is a member of several professional organizations and has authored numerous scientific articles. Prior to joining Oakview Dermatology, Dr. Nemer practiced in the greater St. Louis area for over four years. She is passionate about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of skin cancer. She looks forward to serving her patients for their skin cancer needs.

Nathan Misel, PA-C
Nathan Misel joined our team in October of 2008 and has been a valuable asset to our organization for many years. He graduated from Marietta College with a master's degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2007. He did clinical training in multiple areas of specialty medicine, including Dermatology. Prior to joining our team, Nathan spent time working in a private dermatology office and a local ER. Nathan sees patients in our Athens and Belpre offices and enjoys caring for those in his community.

Adriana Walsh, PA-C
Adriana Walsh joined Oakview Dermatology in 2011, bringing with her 7 years of medical and cosmetic Dermatology experience from her previous practice in Tallahassee, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2004 with her Master of Physician Assistant Studies. She is a current member of the Society of Dermatological Physician Assistants and has completed several training conferences relating but not limited to skin cancer and the screening process. Adriana’s true passion lies within diagnosing skin cancer and treating it at its earliest stage. She is also eager to help the Athens Community.

Mallory Krispinsky, PA-C
Mallory Krispinsky comes to Oakview with 8 years of practice in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Mallory graduated from Saint Louis University with a master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2011. She began working at a rural Dermatology clinic in Illinois and then in Norfolk, Virginia after moving with her husband to fulfill his commitment to the US Navy. Mallory Specializes in cosmetics and loves helping her patients to look their best.
